Over ons

A recognized association

Générations Futures is an environmental defense association approved by the French Ministry of Ecology since 2008 (renewal obtained in 2014 and 2019), and recognized as being of general interest. The association was founded in 1996 (formerly called the Movement for the Rights and Respect of Future Generations or MDRGF) by an agricultural engineer, Georges Toutain, and a teacher, François Veillerette, co-author of the reference book “Pesticides, révélations sur un scandale français”, published by Fayard in 2007.

Générations Futures carries out actions (surveys, conferences, legal actions, awareness campaign, etc.) to provide information on the risks of various types of pollution (chemicals in general and pesticides in particular) and to promote alternatives to these products that threaten health and the environment.

Local relays

Since the end of 2015, Générations Futures has also relied on local relays spread throughout the country in order to disseminate our work and relevant information on the subject of pesticides and their alternatives to as many people as possible. The volunteers leading the local relays have been officially validated by the Board of Directors because of their seriousness, their adherence to the values of the association and a sensitivity to the problem of pesticides as well as their alternatives. Local groups can organize different actions:

Recruit other volunteers and members;
Disseminate and relay campaigns and information;
Maintain a stand, organize a conference, a film debate, an information evening;
Collect testimonies from victims of pesticides …
